Speakers’ Forum — Multi-Camera Event Production
Speakers’ Forum was a four-day programme of talks, panels and discussions, with around 30 hours of content recorded across the festival.
I designed and operated the technical production workflow, using multiple cameras, professional audio recording and live vision mixing during each talk. Rather than treating the event as 30 hours of material that would need to be edited from scratch afterwards, the programme was effectively assembled live as it happened, while isolated camera recordings were retained for backup and any necessary corrections.
This dramatically reduced the post-production workload. After the festival, the live mixes could be refined, audio checked and corrected, titles and finishing added, and individual talks prepared for publication. As a result, around 30 hours of finished talks were edited and ready within just a few days of the event ending.
The project demonstrated how careful technical planning and a live-production approach can make large-scale conference and festival filming significantly more efficient, delivering a substantial library of professionally produced content almost immediately after an event.
